Timed Math Tests

Today we began working on timed tests for addition.  We will be taking timed tests every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  We started with +1 and will be working all the way up to +9.  Once your student has mastered the basics to +9 we will be working on combining +2 and +3 all the way to +8 and +9.  The test is 5 minutes to answer 100 questions.  Everyone’s goal is to get at least 94% correct or 94 out of 100.  If your child meets that goal they move onto the next test. Check your student’s take home binders or folders to see how they performed.  Please work on practicing with your student daily in order to help master basic addition.  Making flash cards together is a great way to practice and time each other.  If you have any questions let me know!
