Busy day in room #6

Today we sure did manage to keep busy.  We have been working hard all week on words with the OO sound as you hear in the words cook and hood.  Today we got a chance to make these words using some different kinds of O's.  We got a chance to use some Froot Loops!  They turned out very nice.

Today we also did an investigation into the properties of solids.  We also talked about how each object was used and how engineers have to know about the properties of solids in order to build us safe structures.  We found out that when you are building a tower that a strong base is good and that a cloth square does not make for a very good building tool.  Here are some of our brains hard at work!
